Unless you plan to light each shell individually with a torch, you should consider purchasing at least one speed of fuse. This makes the lighting safer and more consistent. With 5 seconds per foot fuse, a rack of 6 shots will take about 6 seconds after the first one goes off. 10 second fuse will be about 12 seconds, and 20 second fuse about 24 seconds. These times are approximate and will likely vary a bit since the fuses connected to each shell are somewhat variable. With a 24-pack of shells, variations in production may cause burn time to vary by 2 or 3 seconds. To get shells to all go at the same time, start by trimming the fuse on each shell to the same length and use less-than 1 second fuse to connect them.
